Nominations open for 2026 Brolga Awards

Nominations are now open for the NT’s most prestigious tourism and hospitality awards, the 2026 Brolga Northern Territory Tourism Awards.
The Northern Territory’s official tourism awards program, the Brolga Awards recognise NT tourism businesses that strive for excellence in all areas of their operations, with the winners in the running to represent the NT on a national stage at the Australian Tourism Awards.
Territory-based tourism operators, attractions, accommodation providers, festivals and events, and industry suppliers are all encouraged to nominate their businesses across the 26 award categories. These range from Tourism Attractions and Business Event Venues to Tourism Restaurants and Catering Services, among many more.
The Brolga Awards also celebrate the individuals who contribute to the success of the Territory’s tourism industry, recognising outstanding people whose dedication and passion help shape the visitor experience across the Northern Territory.
The Territory’s tourism industry was strongly represented at the 2025 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in early March, with 22 national finalists representing the Northern Territory.
Reinforcing the Territory’s reputation as a leader in Australia’s tourism industry, five businesses received national accolades, including three gold, one silver and one bronze award.
Among the highlights, Katherine Outback Experience was inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame after securing gold for the third consecutive year in the Tourist Attractions category – a significant achievement. Safari Lodge Motel also celebrated success, bringing home gold in the 3–3.5 Star Accommodation category after winning silver in 2024.
The 2026 Brolga Northern Territory Tourism Awards will take place as part of Destination NT, the Territory’s premier tourism industry event, to be held in Alice Springs from 11–14 November 2026.
The four-day program will bring together tourism, hospitality and events operators from across the Territory alongside industry leaders and innovators to explore the latest trends shaping the visitor economy and identify new opportunities for growth.
Nominations are free, with a range of assistance available to aid nominees with their Brolga Award submission.
Nominations are now open and close 12 August 2026, with all submissions due by 9 September 2026.
Finalists will be recognised at the industry’s night of nights held in Alice Springs. The 2026 Brolga Northern Territory Tourism Awards gala will be held on Saturday 14 November 2026.
