Territory events team recognised on the world stage

Tourism and Events NT (TENT) has once again been recognised on the world stage, celebrated by the global rights holders of the FIM Motocross World Championship, Infront Moto Racing, at the prestigious MXGP Awards Night after winning the Best Promoted Event in 2025.

This year, TENT received a further honour acknowledging the outstanding collaboration between TENT and Infront Moto Racing throughout the planning and delivery of the international three day MXGP of Australia, the final round of the 19 round global championship in 2026.

The award recognises excellence in collaboration across every facet of major event delivery. From freight logistics and international team movements, to marketing, operations, PR and media communications, sporting and regulatory compliance, commercial partnerships and protocol, hosting a world championship demands precision, trust and seamless coordination. TENT’s performance across all these areas has set a benchmark admired across the global MXGP network. 

In 2026, the FIM Motocross World Championship spans 17 countries, reaching a cumulative global TV and streaming audience of more than 54 million viewers across 26 regions. With the eyes of the world on Darwin, TENT’s leadership, professionalism and partnership with Infront Moto Racing have positioned the Northern Territory as a standout host on the international stage of major sporting events, supported by world class facilities and a Territory team delivering at the highest global standard.
