The Northern Territory has been significantly impacted by severe weather events in the lead up to the 2026 tourism seasons including, but not limited to:
- Central Australia and Barkly region floods - February 2026
- Big Rivers Flood Events (21U) - February 2026
- Tropical Cyclone Narelle - March 2026
The NT Tourism Business Restart Fund will provide a one-off payment of $5,000 (exc GST) to support the replacement or repair of damaged physical and operational equipment as a result of recent severe weather events.
Eligibility criteria
• Operating as a primary tourism, hospitality or events business with the principal place of business
• Active ATDW listing (active within the past 3 months)
• Evidence of impact due to identified weather events (photo)
